It is an open fact that the operational area is quite an underdeveloped area characterized by majority of prominent features of underdevelopment like poverty, inaccessibility, economic backwardness, lack of employment opportunity, illiteracy, distress sale of human labour and agricultural produces, health hazard and migration etc. In particular, it is a fact that the abject poverty is prominent feature of majority of the operational areas. Though agriculture is the major stay of life (71.82%) for majority of people they are most disturbed by recurrence of disasters like flood, cyclone, drought, landslides etc. Due to burden of indebtedness and oppression of moneylenders, people are bound to resort to migration to various states. Education & health services are too poor in these operational areas primarily due to demographical constraints, illiteracy and lack of information & infrastructure as well as proper media of communication - especially road, telecom etc. eventually remains .

The intervention in some remote most and hard to reach areas has been incepted this year with the primary efforts of community organization & some of the base line data collection about the life and livelihood resource management aspects of people living in those areas. Task based intervention will be taken up in following years.
